The Student Christian Movement (OAU branch) is the very first fellowship on this campus. It is non denominational and takes into cognizance no denominational background, or doctrine except the truth of God’s word. It was formed when there was a dire need to isolate Students who are Christians and who also pursue spiritual, academic and intellectual growth and maturity (Movement).
Who we are is embedded in who we seek to become. We are being conditioned to conform to the vision we see ahead of us. We are indeed, a people passionate about what we believe in. Our commitment is to love one another and to live as a community of believers, to see and live as one family under God’s watchful eyes, to build strong individuals who, rather than leave with “ordinary” certificates, will carry sound minds and the authority of Jehovah into the outside environment. Above all, we commit ourselves to the revelation of God in our hearts, as a foundation for our future and the coming generations after us.
